Slowly realizing through this unit on memory in my psychology class that my method of storing and recalling memories is not typical, and is likely the autism. I thought everyone imagined their brain as some version of a huge system of perfectly organized filing cabinets that they can find information in alphabetical order and if you create the mental image of finding a file and taking it out and reading it, you can remember everything you've ever learned about that item/person/social situation/concept, etc
